The church dedicated to St Michael and All Angels was extensively repaired/restored in 2016, new and effective heating installed, and a meeting room - "Olly's Friendship Room" - created at the east end of the church, with toilet and limited kitchen facilities.
This is a community space, and activities are gradually being established in it.
Upper Sapey itself is just one of a group of six former
parishes which make up the Parish of Greater Whitbourne.
There are four churches still in use and lovingly cared
for, but the one at Wolferlow has now been made redundant.
Rev'd Dawn Hyett is our Interim Minister, ably assisted
by Assistant Priest Rev'd Doiran Williams. The living is
currently "Suspended", the search for a new incumbent is
not being actively pursued. Rev'd Clive Evans, Rural Dean,
has legal responsibility for the Parish of Greater
Whitboutrnr during the Interregnum.
