Report of Launch Meeting on 21st September 2004.

More than 80 people attended the successful launch meeting of the People of Old Whitbourne Project at the Village Hall on Tuesday 21st September. The audience came from near and far (with two from Canada!) to hear what will be happening over the next 18-24 months in and around Whitbourne.  Click here to see some pictures of the event.

Experts talked about activities which they will be leading, including Historic and Archaeological Walks, and Digs, Building Research (or House Detectives!), recording of villagers' memories, researching records, plans for a "Drama Event", and lots more.

More than 50 people have already signed up, expressing an interest in taking part, but everyone is invited to get involved.
