Second-hand BOOKSTALL

On 6th December 2005, the Whitbourne DCC approved the proposal to have a used-book stall at Whitbourne Church. This is how it will be organised:

• All proceeds to Church Funds, initially for the purchase and maintenance of a parish Photocopier.
• Please put your payment (typically £1 or 50p per book)in one of the small envelopes provided, then "post" in the wall safe by the entrance door. (Cheques to be made payable to The Parish of Greater Whitbourne.)
• If you have suitable good-quality books to donate for sale, please hand them to John Bland (who runs this stall) or Revd Doiran Williams.
• Please DO NOT place books directly on the stall!
• Stall organisers may decline to offer any book for sale at their sole discretion.
• The stall organisers do not endorse or recommend any particular book, unless specifically stated! Purchasers must make their own decision as to suitability etc..
• From time to time, the books offered for sale might be "themed", such as Travel, Biography, Cooking, Christian etc. depending on what books are available to stock the stall.
  
• By displaying only a few books at a time (10 to 20) we hope you might spot a good read more easily, without having to rummage through boxes of stuff.
• The stock will be changed on a regular basis, so why not make a habit of checking the stall regularly?
